APA Programs

APA supporting programs promote new solutions and improved processes that benefit the entire engineered wood industry. Supporting programs include:

  • APA Safety Awards Program: an annual competition designed to encourage mill safety by recognizing and honoring the management and employees of those plants with the lowest occupational injury rates.
  • Career Center: a wood products industry Career Center, where industry employers can post job listings and job seekers can explore career options.
  • Engineered Wood Technology Association (EWTA): The EWTA is an APA-related supplier organization. It is a vehicle for the exchange of technical data, market intelligence and industry trends among engineered wood product manufacturers and their industry product, equipment and service providers.
  • Professional Associates Program: a forum for the exchange of information and ideas for architects, engineers, building officials, members of the academic/research community and manufacturing experts involved with engineered wood products.
  • Raised Floor Living: APA, the Southern Pine Council and building partners throughout the Gulf Coast showcase the benefits of raised floor construction using sustainable engineered wood and other products in a variety of home styles and special projects.
